LA NHS provides
classes, workshops and presentations in English and Spanish for first
time homebuyers and existing homeowners by nationally certified homeownership
education and counseling professionals. Many of the classes, workshops
and presentations may be provided in a 30-minute presentation format for
employers and community organizations. Employers may also bring the full
array of LA NHS classes, workshops and presentations on site.
Financial Education is the key component to helping first-time buyers and existing homeowners achieve their goals of homeownership and home preservation. Last year, LA NHS educated and counseled over 22,000 families regarding homeownership purchase, budgeting, credit repair, home maintenance, and insurance education. We graduated over 2,000 families from financial literacy and homeownership education classes and educated more than 800 families to maintain and sustain their homes through our post purchase programs.
